Summary:
Over the past decade I saw myself climb up the corporate ladder at Unilever and then land into the role of CFO at a publicly listed Saudi manufacturer followed by a lateral move into the most reputable agricultural company in the Middle East. My success did not come by chance as I have accepted every meaningful challenge that came my way in corporate life. During my management training stint at Unilever, I was handpicked by Unilever’s Chairman and HR Director to coordinate and prepare business plans across all business units and functions. This formed the stepping stone of my promotion to Group Finance Manager in Unilever and paved the way to my appointment as CFO in other reputable organisations. My stamina to work through challenging issues, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and solid knowledge in Finance enabled me to make striking changes in the companies I worked with, which led me into a number of directorships in Saudi Arabia, China and Mauritius. What is amazing about my achievements is that despite my high powered career, I managed to do my MBA, earn Associate Membership in CIMA and pursue the CFA charter. Naturally, my career path encouraged me to be a motivational speaker and an active contributor in the trainining and consulting industry.
